DIY skirt in 10 seconds

Oh sew easy DIY resversible Duvet cover!

Tired on you old comforters? Need something more, well shall we say summery? Ok, get ready for an easy DIY.....

Find 2 king sized sheets (I used a queen comforter with two king sheets and trimmed excess fabric). You can usually find some brand new ones at your local Goodwill that's where I found these for $1.99 each. Find an old comforter that is in good shape and clean. If you are using a twin or full comforter you can get by with smaller sheets.

Lay both sheets down evenly and then place comforter smoothly making sure there are no creases and trim excess fabric except 1 1/2 in for a seam allowance.

Once you have the sheets cut. Put right sides together (the brightest side) and sew 3  sides leaving bottom open.

Flip inside out so you see the right sides now.

Place comforter inside duvet and smooth out corners. Might need to give it a shake to get it in place (think pillowcase).

Now with your remaining fabric scraps make some ties. I used 4 but you can make more if you have more fabric.

For the straps cut 8 2x6 in fabric pieces. Fold in half with wrong side showing and sew edge to close.

In this shape...L

You will then need a pencil or crochet needle to flip inside out.

Take your measuring tape and space evenly (1 inch placement marks) Repeat on other side and line up exactly as you did before. Sew all of your ties in place. I like to sew then with an X and box around it and go over twice for a secure hold.

Voila!!! You saved $100 and now have two comforters in one!
